Background & the Client Challenge

The client, a global leader in the design and manufacture of technology products, was experiencing some challenges. It’s location in Cork had for many years been focussed on manufacturing. This evolved over time and a number of specialist departments had grown at the site.

These departments had multiple reporting lines outside of Ireland so the culture of the site was beginning to fragment.

In addition, attracting talent had also become a challenge.

The Site Leader was very keen to maintain the original culture at the site and to address the talent attraction challenge so 3SIXTY was engaged to support.

What We Did

We designed and launched a tailor-made programme to

  • Create a site strategy that would embed, nourish and grow the existing high-performance culture to ensure the site retains its distinct competitive advantage

  • Help get alignment across the site leadership team on what the current culture actually is, and what the future state should be

  • Engage the full employee population

  • Execute impactful plans

  • Achieve sustainable and progressive change that facilitates creating greater organisational agility to meet the challenges of the future

Results

  • A consistent and site-wide culture

  • Recognition of Ireland as the “culture of choice” by the group CEO

  • Replication of the action plan from Ireland across a number of other sites.

  • Increase in employer brand resulting in the elimination of issues around attracting new talent
